Over the years, Lara’s efforts have raised over $8 million for diverse organizations, building strong networking partnerships and crafting impactful fundraising strategies for nonprofits. Her services have gone beyond conventional approaches, offering support in board management, strategic long-term fundraising, thorough grant research, expert submissions, and comprehensive program planning with smooth implementation.
In addition to her grant-writing work, Lara founded Grant Crafters, a peer group in Hampton Roads that gathers professional grant writers and grant-adjacent professionals for mentorship and support, enriching the community of fundraisers and advocates.

In general, we prefer to do monthly project rates that build ongoing expertise on your organization and to refine the process. However, if you are looking for an hourly rate range, it’s generally $125 - $175 per hour, for standalone projects. A monthly or quarterly project rate will be less expensive than the hourly rate, because that’s how we prefer to work — it benefits you, too!
